simplystefanie-rae:

Can this be at least partial confirmation that Marinette, while not exactly friendless pre-origins, just wasn’t close with anyone before? She did sit alone in class, and something about the way she wanted to share macarons with the class screamed that she was trying to make friends through the gesture. I also can’t see why Alya had to be a new student unless to imply that Marinette mostly kept to herself before.

But if this is like legit and not just an idea Astruc found intriguing, the parallels between Adrien and Marinette this episode go even further. Like talk about truly being two sides of the same coin; Adrien was dying to go to school because he wanted to make friends, Marinette was dreading it because she had no good friends at all and was bullied. They both make their first and best friend that year and really start to grow alongside each other from there, more and more coming out of their shell.

It’s mcfreakin’ beautiful yall.
